- 1X2
- A betting market where you pick either the home team to win (1), the match to end in a draw (X), or the away team to win (2).
- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for you to receive a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A point‑spread system that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to eliminate the draw and equalize the odds.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money you have set aside for placing bets.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle a bet early, locking in a profit or cutting a loss before the match ends.
- Correct Score
- A wager that predicts the exact final score of a match, such as 2‑1.
- Decimal Odds
- A format that shows the total amount returned for each unit bet, stake included (e.g., 2.50 returns $2.50 per $1).
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match, such as home win or draw.
- First Goal Scorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Fractional Odds
- A format that displays the profit you make relative to your stake, shown as a fraction (e.g., 3/2).
- In-Play
- Another term for live betting, referring to wagers placed after the match has started.
- Juice
- The commission, also called vig, that the sportsbook keeps from each bet, built into the odds.
- Line Shopping
- Comparing odds from different sportsbooks to find the best price for the same bet.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that change as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A straight bet on which team will win the match, with odds that reflect each team’s chance of winning.
- Odds
- Numbers that indicate how much you can win relative to your stake; higher odds mean a larger payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals scored in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A parlay is the same as an accumulator, combining several bets into one with higher odds but greater risk.
- Point Spread
- The number of points the favorite must win by, or the underdog can lose by, for the bet to pay.
- Pre-Match
- Bets placed before the match begins, based on the expected outcome and fixed odds.
- Steam
- Rapid movement of odds caused by heavy betting activity on one side of a market.
- Unit
- A standard size for a bet, often expressed as a percentage of your bankroll, used to manage risk.
- Value Bet
- A wager where the odds offered are higher than the true probability, giving you a positive expected return over time.
